Hymn
“Breath on Me, Breath of God”
Confession and Pardon
We foolishly assume we can hide our sins from God.
Yet our knowing God still invites us to confess our failures,
that we might be unburdened of them and forgiven.
Confess your sins together; be rid of them forever, saying…
God of us all, when we stumble into temptation, we rarely find our own way out.
With hurtful words and harmful deeds, we multiply others’ sorrows.
Have mercy on us, O God!
Walk through the closed doors of our lives,
pour out your grace upon us, and enable us better to follow Jesus, our Risen Lord.
Amen
(Silent Prayers)
Assurance of Forgiveness
